Las Marietas Islands

The best scuba diving location in Puerto Vallarta is also the beginning of the trophy fishing area. In the protected banks of the Marietas Islands, you'll find all the big game fish, such as Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and more. The fish here are not regularly as large or as common as those at Corbetena, or The Banks, but they can often be, and we catch them here regularly. 18 miles off the coast, the Marietas / Punta Mita area can be fished well in 8 hours. The Marietas Islands take about an hour each way to reach.

Whale Watching

You can often see whales (in season), dolphins, manta rays, and sea turtles from the boat during trips to the Marietas Islands. We do not run whale watching trips, but you'll often see these great creatures from the boat as we fish.
